Axecess sits down with David! Oh! to find out about what it is that fuels his musical drive. Check out the dope interview:
Davido's rise has continued through 2014. His recent collaboration with Mafikizolo ("Tchelete"), has not only raised his profile in South Africa (a market that is notoriously insular to influences from other regions of the continent), but also shows that he can hold his own alongside the ilk of Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie and Nigeria's Tiwa Savage. "Aye", the latest in a series of singles that lead up to his untitled sophomore, has also taken on a life of its own, aided by a beautifully directed video courtesy of the talented Clarence Peters.
It's a clear departure from his clean-cut, urban nightlife, bling-king focus, and now sees him cavorting in a forest. Regardless of the setting, Davido manages to stir a major Afrobeats revolt! Will he maintain his present winning form, and is this but a mere example of the young artist's brilliance as a hit-maker? We hope to see more of him soon. Don't forget to watch the dope video!
